Chronic Pain Treatment and Resolution

Chronic Pain Treatment and Resolution are well within your grasp with help from a true professional! It doesn't matter whether you're the kind of person who enjoys an easy walk everyday, is an avid weekend warrior or a professional athlete. You shouldn't have to compromise your active lifestyle because of chronic pain.

Soft-tissue injuries are one of the most common culprits of chronic pain and have traditionally been treated with drugs, heat, cold and rest. These therapies usually provide minimal relief and only a temporary solution. We treat the root cause of the problem, not just the symptoms of chronic pain.

Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems and tennis elbow are just some of the many conditions that cause chronic pain. This pain usually begins with overused and overloaded soft tissues that lead to injury.

Overused muscles, joints and other soft tissue can become injured in three ways:
  • Acute conditions (pulls, tears, collisions)
  • Accumulation of small tears (micro-trauma)
  • Lack of oxygen (hypoxia)

Soft tissue that is strained or damaged through overuse results in a reduced range of motion, loss of strength and pain through a series of events:
  • Soft tissue becomes inflamed. Inflamed tissue stick together, causing adhesions.
  • The body produces tough, dense scar tissue around the adhesion.
  • Scar tissue binds up and ties down tissue that would otherwise move freely. Inactive soft tissue becomes shorter and weaker.
  • Nerves can become trapped, causing numbness and tingling.
  • Tension on soft tissue causes tendonitis, bursitis and other painful conditions.

These chronic stages of soft tissue damage are why so many of us are in pain. I use a series of hands-on Active Release Technique protocols combined with Laser Therapy  to identify and remove muscular adhesions, thereby permanently alleviating the source of your pain.

Stop living in pain and get to the root cause of the problem!
