Athletic Recovery - Perform Better
Picture yourself going further, faster, hanging with the pack...and even finishing on the podium!
Active people of all types frequently ask us how they can be faster. We tell them there are many factors to consider, like nutrition, rest, training schedules and coaching. We also add what we consider to be one of the most important factors: great biomechanics. You can only succeed for so long with poor biomechanics. Every runner who comes into our office as a new client receives a video of their gait to assess their range of motion, and how to best correct it, so running becomes easier and less painful.
Good Biomechanics = Fast and Injury Free
Bad Biomechanics = Slower and Injury Prone
As athletes, we all care for our equipment. Our bodies are no different. A body that moves efficiently will always work easier to reach the same goal than an imbalanced one. Think of a car with one tire that is almost flat. It is going to be harder to drive that car than one with equally inflated tires. Similarly, when you have a restricted motion in your body, it has to work harder to compensate for the imbalance, and that work makes it harder overall to achieve the same goal.

Every year several thousand athletes visit the Active Release Techniques® (ART) tent at the Ironman races. It’s always one of the most popular places at the race, second only to the finish line. Ironman athletes know if there is a physical problem, or if they just want to race better, they can get instant results from an ART specialist.
Although many people are not familiar with ART, almost every MLB, NHL, NFL and NBA team uses certified ART providers. Active Release Techniques® providers work on athletes participating in the Olympics and Mixed Martial Arts. ART providers play a major role in the success of PBR (Professional Bull Riding) athletes, as well as with pro golfers in the PGA. These athletes share the common bond of repetitive stress, overuse injuries and sports related trauma. And, if ART can help them get back in the game, it can surely work for you.
"I can make anyone faster!"
